PINS + UPDATES || KINFOLK

if kinfolk were a person, it would think me incredibly rude because I cannot stop staring. it's like this beautiful  lifestyle blog that I aim to style my life after, except that you can dogear and flip pages. maybe I'm super behind-the-times, but I was just introduced to it this week, and I'm in love, I'm in love, and I don't care who knows it! they have designs for everything. from delicious, eclectic food to throwing an outdoor soiree in your orchard to making your bed the perfect workweek oasis. I am all about all of those things. not all of these are directly from kinfolk, but in my perusing, I found them kinfolkesque. check it out.

(from left to right, top to bottom)
001. cherry blossom macarons w/ black sesame :: I've really been on a macaron kick lately and these feed that indulgence to a new level.
002. roasted peaches + lavender ice cream with w/ lemon salt shortbread cookies :: being honest, I've never eaten lavender that I know of. but I am super interested to try it. I've been finding all sort of recipes that call for it lately. you can see another one for lavender creme brûlée here.
003. delivering cookies in boxes as a quick gift idea :: I am always looking for beautiful { yet easy } ways to deliver sweets to friends. I love how kinfolk tied in a sprig of rosemary to give it a natural feel.
004. all white bedding :: so simple and clean
005. loving the hardwood floors + pile of blankets + rows upon rows of books :: this space looks so cozy and inviting. I never can resist a place that urges me to curl up with a good book.
006. making a teepee fort in bed :: I love what kinfolk has to say about "the art of bed making."
007. + 009. two adorable little girls playing and being imaginative :: in a world where littles just beg for the ipad, it is both refreshing and enchanting to see young people stepping outside of that and running amuck and being imaginative.
008. littles dressed to match in the rain :: my kids would probably loathe me if I dressed them up like this, but it is still romantic to see children in matching overalls carrying cheery yellow umbrellas, is it not? maybe I can swing this from my kids before they know better...

perhaps it's just the photography that captivates me, but whatever it is, it makes me want to live my life outside, play with my { future } children, and master decadent treats in my kitchen. and I really can't see a thing wrong with any of that.

to see more, visit kinfolk's official website and have a blast losing yourself in their picturesque scenes and way of life.

love, arielle
